Match Report
Cathedral School, Llandaff Girls-U14A vs  Wycliffe College
On: Saturday, 21 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

The U14 CSL girls faced Wycliffe in their first match of the year. For many it was their first competitive fixture playing 11 a-side. The girls started very strongly with the defensive pressure of Mali C. and Sophie P. preventing the opposition any attempting at scoring during the first half. The team used the space on the pitch superbly, forcing defenders to try and tackle them. The attacking forwards of Lilyan S., Bronwen H. and Holly R. put the opposition under extreme pressure and by the end of the first half CSL were ahead 4-0 with Bronwen H. scoring a hattrick. The fantastic team work continued into the second half and Holly R. managed to score a further two goals, also scoring a hat trick. The defensive clearances and countless tackles of Aisha A and Andy Nind-McDonald as goal keeper earned themselves a joint player of the match from the opposition. It was a brilliant start to the season, well done girls!
