U9 @ Colston's Festvial

The U9s played fantastically well in sodden conditions at the Colston's early contact rugby festival. With a total of 3 matches against some prestigious opposition the reds were dazzling, showing some tremendous ambition not just to run the ball, but to link and pass and offload as often as possible. The three matches were against Clifton High School, Wells Cathedral and Bristol Grammar School, and saw streams of tries run in throughout the afternoon. Most notable efforts from Jack H and Juno A. Hard tackles also epitomised the CSL team, with crunching blows coming in from Jack L and Austin D, whilst everyone put in their fair share of work. The festival was called short just before the encounters with local rivals St John's On The Hill and hosts Colston's due to inclement weather, but I have no doubt that the grit and enthusiasm would have continued on. A great effort and keep up the good work.
