The 1st XV gave themselves too much to do in the match after a slow start, where King's generated momentum and continuity which proved too difficult for the side to slow down.

Josh G and Isaac J showed positives on the attack side of the ball with carries across the gain line, but there was a struggle to gain suitable territory.

The second half was a different story on the scoreboard with one try a piece and better intent on both sides of the ball. The need for adaptability with Jac B stepping up to play in the forwards was pleasing.
