Despite the injuries and illnesses that forced a number of players into unfamiliar starting positions, the U14 squad can only be commended for the grit and determination they demonstrated on Saturday against Bristol Grammar School.
The opposition had a number of key players that dominated open play. However, the forwards effectively spoilt an insane amount of possession, limiting their scoring opportunities. The back row of Tom G, Will R and Jacob H were phenomenal in the contact area. As well as Govind A, and Osian B deputising at scrum half, possibly could not have played better as he perfectly linked the forwards and backs, dictated the plays and influencing a number of refereeing decisions.
CSL may have suffered their first loss, but in many ways it felt like a win!
Well done all!
